NAD 3130 Service Upgrade The Service Upgrade for the NAD 3130 replaces the main Power Supply capacitors with 2 x 15000uF, this helps to provide much improved definition to the bass sounds. All remaining power supply capacitors are replaced with new and increased capacitance. This provides a more stable (less noisy) power supply to the pre-amplifier and initial stages of the power amplifier. All pre and power amplifier electrolytic capacitors are replaced with non-polarised electrolytic capacitors. The pre-amp Op Amp is replaced with a Burr Brown OPA2227. The output transistors and driver transistors are replaced with modern equivalents. The effect of the service upgrade is to improve bass firmness and presence, and provide clearer and more musical mid to high frequencies. For full details of these modifications please click here.
