June 2009 The price of electronic components has been rising steadily for 2 years now and we have finally had to make slight increases in our prices. This mainly concerns upgrades that use operational amplifiers as we have seen the price for these double of over the last 12 months. I'm sure that we still offer great value for money in rejuvenating excellent Hi Fi systems and I'm sure we are a better investment than a new system of similar value. October 2008 Fidele Audio are now operating a full Ecosse Cable Store for on line sales. All Ecosse cables will be available at discounted prices which include delivery to the UK. May 2008 The Quad product range has been completely revised now that we can no longer get Black Gate capacitors. The highlight is the stunning new Quad 34 ST upgrade which provides exceptional results. This is due to the elimination of the audio circuit electrolytic coupling capacitors. Most power amplifier upgrades now include the output transistors and current limiting upgrade. Also we are now offering a 405-3 based on the Net Audio 405-3 modules. March 2008 We will no longer be using Black Gate capacitors as de-coupling capacitors for op amps or main power supply capacitors as we cannot get suitable volumes of the types required. For GE and PE version upgrades we will use polyester film capacitors and for SE versions we will continue to use ceramic capacitors. Black Gate capacitors will still be used for secondary power supply caps and for signal path capacitors, in GE and PE upgrades. January 2007 Revised front page of the web site and removed the product names for the amplifier upgrades as customers never referred to them, preferring to use the actual product names. Quad upgrades are still described as 'Silver Ears', 'Golden Ears' and 'Platinum Ears' depending on the level of upgrade applied. July 2006 Fidele Audio are delighted to offer the full range of Ecosse Reference Cable interconnect and speaker cables. These cables offer outstanding performance and value and are recommended as 'best buy' and 'product of the year' by many top Hi Fi magazines. April 2006 Decouvrir 3130 Upgrade reviewed at TNT-Audio. January 2006 Quad 34 'Silver Ears Plus' upgrade offered as a standard upgrade due to very popular demand. October 2005 Decouvrir NAD amplifier upgrades are introduced with the NAD 3020 amplifier, the most popular amplifier in the world. These Service-Upgrades revive and improve the great sound of the original 3020. July 2005 Se Taire platforms are mentioned in the new products reviews in Hi Fi Choice Summer 2005 edition page 22. The 'Platinum Ears' version of the 405-2 upgrade is introduced adding a dual mono power supply and OPA627 op amps to the 'Golden Ears' version. Probably the best Quad 405-2 in the world! March 2005 Fidele Audio are delighted to announce a new range of Se Taire Golden Ears Tuneable platforms, which are also available in a choice of colours. December 2004 Fidele Audio are pleased to announce their new range of audio system enhancement products and services. The Se Taire range of isolation platforms are available immediately as are a selected range of Revelateur Quad amplifier upgrades. Further Revelateur Quad upgrade packages will be announced in the very near future. |
