Quad 306 GE2 Service and Upgrade

This is a service and upgrade combined and will provide significant improvements to all 306 amplifiers. The main power supply capacitors are replaced with larger capacitors and RF de-coupling is improved both in the primary and secondary circuits. The Op Amp is replaced and some key resistors are replaced with very low noise types. A Nichicon Muse BP capacitor is fitted to the boot strap circuit. The output transistors are replaced with a high quality highly linear transistor and the current limiting is reduced to allow up to 11 amps transient current. Other minor changes are made based on the design of the Quad 909.
