Quad 405-2 SE2 Upgrade. This is the supreme 405-2 upgrade. Replacing the Op Amp with a Burr Brown OPA227 and replacing amplifier circuit electrolytic capacitors with ELNA Cerafine capacitors and two non-polarised capacitors . The output bridge components are replaced, including a new high current inductor. The main power supply capacitors are replaced with a dual mono power supply from Net Audio. The secondary DC power wiring is replaced with heavier gauge wire. The output transistors are replaced with a high quality highly linear device and the current limiting is reduced to allow up to 14 amps of transient output current.
